CRISTIAN SANTINI

Cristian Santini graduated cum laude in the international Master’s degree in Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge at the University of Bologna, with a thesis on representation learning methods for author name disambiguation. His research focuses on machine learning, deep learning and semantic web technologies for applications in the cultural heritage sector. During his research, he realized a pipeline to disambiguate authors in Academic Knowledge Graphs using embeddings and developed applications to extract networks from art-historical books by using NLP techniques. 

After his master’s degree, he worked as a Junior Researcher in the Information Service Engineering department at FIZ Karlsruhe, where he was involved in teaching and supervising students along with research activities.

Currently, he is a PhD student at the University of Macerata where he works on developing Artificial Intelligence solutions for the preservation, enrichment and retrieval of literary texts.
